Organ Concert with Collaborative Calligraphy

Marsha Foxgrover and Timothy Botts will collaborate on a concert to celebrate the recently restored and renovated Zimmer tracker organ at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lombard on Sunday, March 10, at 4 p.m. The concert is part of the 14th year of the Artist Series at St. John's. Collaborative works of organ and calligraphy include "Were You There?" by Sowerby, "Jesu, Jesu", arranged by Foxgrover, and Two Spirituals, "Balm in Gilead" and Ev'ry Time I Feel the Spirit" by Hailstork. Organ solos include "Impromptu" by Vierne, Prelude and Fugue in A minor, BWV 543 by J.S Bach, Prelude and Fugue in Eb by Saint-Saens, "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross" by Utterback, Adagio for Strings by Barber (with photographs by Gary Irving), and Intermezzo from Symphony VI by Widor.
